after the last few gigs on very dodgy floors and cds skipping all over the place when people dancing took the plunge 2 weeks ago and brought the cortex
2 weeks of frantic converting of some of me cds and out it went last sat nite at one of teh venues ive had skipping issues with and must admit throughly enjoyed it played about 80% of teh music on the cortex and not a issue :):):)
altho i did have sore finger ends afterwards from using there little pad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
still dunno if im gonna go down this route 100% so have removed one of me decks from me cd/mixer box and replaced it with teh cortex. - time will tell i suppose.
1 issue i did come up with was if one decks playing and the otheres cued not yet figured how to select or browse for the next one - altho the wife assures me that its probally in th emanual

Not sure you can mate. I know the Numark D2 has a crate function, not sure if the Cortex does, the Denon doesn't, but I believe they are working on it for a firmware upgrade.
Ask Crazy K or Dragonfly (when he gets back)

I did this a few weeks ago. A task that goes on for what seems like ever

I havent done all mine, only about 1000 popular ones. In the ideal world, i would have every cd i own on mp3 if time wasnt an issue so i never had to touch a cd again even at home. Cant ever see my collection of Hardcore / Gabba cd's ever being done as theres too many :(

25,000 tracks done, about the same to go. The other 25,000 specialist tracks will have to wait for me to finish my database, and I have all my high-use, and regular-use tracks all sorted. It's taken me about 18 months, not full time, to get to this point, but that includes sourcing chart info on all my major artists and creating top 10s based on charts and personal experience.

Hi there again--I cant do anything about that with my Cortex--although best see if Dragonfly Dave or Matt at Spin know anything--there have been some updates--I havent bothered as mine is going so well.
Its very quick to cue immediately after a track has finished though.
