Change of buisness name

Hi Folks

Finally decided to change my mobile disco buisness name as I no longer think "Subsonic Discos" has a good ring to it plus I am looking to maybe offer other services to the wedding industry i.e pa's, conferences etc etc, so am looking to find something to cover me across the board.

I am thinking of incorporating my own name (Frankie Jolly) and have come up with "Frankie J Events"

The only problem with "events" is that I dont want people to forget that my main proffesion is the mobile disco especially when I attend wedding fayres as I dont want potential brides thinking im some dodgy agent. I also need to cover myself if I use hotels to set up pa's and conferences so need a proffesional name for that.

So my question is do you think "Frankie J Events" has a good ring to it or can anyone think of any good names? :)

Sorry mate but 'Frankie J' - anything sounds like a dodgy dealer to me :o

I chose the word 'Vibe' in my name deliberately so that if I wanted to branch out into related services it didn't restrict me.

I have no immediate suggestions other than maybe just use your initials 'FJ' or come up with a completely unrelated word. What's so bad about Subsonic anyway? I kinda like it...

Mmm I see your point and thanks for the reply. Im just not sure about Subsonic it doesnt relate to discos / Events hence the reason for a change.

How about 'Jolly Events' or maybe 'Jolly Events with DJ Frankie'
Have a 'Jolly time' with us.

It won't suit everyone, but a name that gets remembered is priceless!

Subsonic Events / Entertainment (s) looks good to me.

Sounds like a party planner. Unless Frankie is going down that route I wouldn't use the word parties.

It also wouldn't cover the conference side of things.

Yeah, sorry to say that your surname may not work for you, just because 'Jolly' is kind of an old-fashioned word when not used as a surname.

I agree with Steve, Subsonic is good, Supersonic might be better.

'Subsonic' may sound like something associated with a rave or something, particularly to older clients. It is a shame that you don't want to use your real last name though! FJS or FJ Events does sound good.

When we first started out we were a 2 man outfit. Corabar Ltd being the parent company, Corabar Consultancy being Jonah's side of things & Corabar Entertainment being mine. It was only after the bookings really started coming in that I trained Jonah in DJing & we bought a second rig.

Same thing, admittedly all the companies had Corabar in the name but it's the same principal.
