Just my usual rate rate for all xmas bookings. I never work NYE, but I think double rate for "Hogmanay" is pretty much the norm though.

This is my first christmas too.....well up this end of the country anyway....December isn't looking too good as yet cus i'm not established in this area yet so if anyone is over booked and can pass anything my way I'd be much obliged (willing to travel....still trek down to cornwall for some gigs....so quite used to distance and kipping in front of van in lay-bys)
if my german disco goes well i would be asked to go back for a christmas disco on the 20th. not bad i guess

Filling up nicely now. Only got one Fri and one Sat left now.
Generally charge +25% up to the 9th, then +50% up to Xmas, then +100% for NYE.

Christmas is particually busy for me this year, not just in the line of discos.
I'm letting me residency deal with all my bookings, so I'll just be working there during decemeber. I'm not sure if this is a good move or not yet, I'll let you know in January.
I've also got a full scale Panto to deal with, which is a two week run over Xmas. I'm Cheif LX, possibly lighting designer too. So mixing discos with that should be fun. I've also got the school's sixth form entertainment to deal with. Which is fun, but hard work!

well December is quiet - i have three DJ's now and i am worried about not having work for them this december - anything in the pub i will obviously be able to pass onto them as i will be busy enough in there but i would prefer to have more dates booked. I charge normal rate except xmas eve and Hogmany where i charge an extra £200, this extra charge is shared between my DJ & I.
So the DJ gets paid £200 for playing only as the van driver and i usually set/pick the gear up
