p.s i forgot to mention when i was looking for content and terms and conditions etc i've done a lot of copying and editing off various other disco sites from around the world, some may well have been from some of the mobile disco sites that visit here as i didn't have a clue as to where to start :bang:

could everyone check in case something is too close to their content on their site please and i'll gladly edit/remove it from my site, i've done my best to try and make sure i havent just outright copied someone elses work, but i've done so much editing of the content that i can't remember where i got most of the ideas from

thanks everyone

Lose the music collection page as you already state that you carry 25,000 songs on another page buy all means add the downloadable pdf to this page or to the mobile disco page. In general its a pleasant site with minor room for improvement just a few tidying up on certain picture vs text clashes where you lose concentration as you lose the sentence suggest enlarging or shrinking pictures to cater for this on the about us page & mobile disco page.

feel free to use my terms and conditions have used it successfully in county courts its based on an agency styled contract

I would actually lose the Music Collection download altogether.. What happens if a client looks for a song that you don't have?

Also keeping it up to date would be a PITA..

Other than that it looks good (at first quick glance)..

Oooh only thing I would say is lose the slide slideshow those things look naff to me.. Remind me of myspace..

Hi Cara,

It looks like a pretty good site to me.

There were just a few things I noticed:

1) On the home page, the words Liverpool & Merseyside should begin with capital letters.

2) I would lose the "Our equipment" page, as clients really don't care about your equipment.

3) On the FAQ page, every single word begins with a capital letter, which is incorrect.

4) The last FAQ says the booking fee is 30% of the total cost, but on the terms & conditions page, number 2 states that the booking deposit is 50%. Which is it?

That's about all I noticed, otherwise quite a good looking site.

Hope this helps.

:)

OMG... I agree with Rob!

Especially point 3 which is very difficult to read.

Except point 2.... A lot (over 50%) of my clients look at my equipment pages and I have the stats to prove it. Possibly because I use a '2-stage' approach - a layman summary page with a "pull down" tell me more' button. Possibly because it's heavily linked from other parts of the site such as the pricing page, and they're looking for justification for why package B costs more than package A for instance. Only a few people click 'Tell me more' incidentally.

See what I mean (http://www.vectisvibe.com/pages/lighting.htm)

I agree with all the above, especially the FAQ issue, and definitely lose the "Slide" thing on the equipment and gallery pages - it's naff!
