For some reason I always "get on" with women easier than men :rolleyes: No, not like that :p

Whenever it's the groom, he's usually acting under orders from the bride anyway, so everything takes twice as long.

The bride, without a doubt...mainly because they seem to be better at organizing & saying what they want than the grooms do.

I find that about 75% of the time it's the bride who makes the booking with me anyway, so things work out fine.

It's not really down to who, so much as what. A sensible level-headed person who understands the dynamics of music in an environment like a wedding is easier to deal with than someone with ridiculous and/or ill-educated demands. I most often deal with brides, and am generally able to set up a good rapport. But, being a bloke, getting a rapport going with the groom is easy, too. Oftentimes the music is the only thing that the groom is allowed to organize.

I've dealt with several mothers of the bride, and chief bridesmaids, too, when the bride is overseas.

bride and groom ....... i like to go and meet both so i can put faces to names and get an idea of the kind of people they both are and start to plan ideas for the night with them.

It's good to meet both before hand, but one will always take the lead & brides tend to be a bit more focused on the event.

In my case usually the Brides Mum ( because we are likely to be similar ages:D ) but generally get on well with all. Strange, the Brides Dad doesnt phone does he--even though he is possibly paying out a lot of the money and to the DJ/ Entertainer.

Brides and Grooms seem fairly price sensitive ( maybe im charging too much ? ) whereas the parents seem more interested in having good entertainment and not worrying so much--probably when they hear your going to play some of THEIR music!!!!!!!!!

Rice tells me he is involved with a lot of Weddings now so his answer should be a good indicator ( think hes on Holiday now)

Actually, I don't really have a preference.

I suppose the bride when talking about the timings and logistics, the groom when talking about music and the brides mother when talking about payment..;)

It's all down to personalities, some brides can be very difficult and the same can be said for some grooms. Nine times out of 10 it's the bride who organises everything and most are perfectly reasonable. So to answer your question, I'm not fussed as long as they're nice and don't keep changing their mind.
