caller: I want a club feel with all the appropriate lights....none of these old fashioned things....can you do that?
Me: No problem.....I've got a lazer and moving heads....similar to the ones you see in clubs....do you know the ones i mean?
caller: ....no idea.....haven't ever been to a club

Yellow Pages enquiry?

If not thats what most of them are like:D

Where they are booking on specific requirements I would be careful to make sure there is no issue at the event like- theres not enough lights:eek:

Unless you get paid well in advance:D

...that's the main advantage of not advertising in the Yellow Pages!

Got this year's NYE booking thanks to good old YP :cool:

Customer new to the area put in charge of sorting out Xmas & NY functions at a nice venue near me picks up the YP and starts working BACKWARDS from Z. Well W actually as there's no X, Y or Z discos round here. And in second spot is moi.

Other than that, you do get the occasional hick enquiry from YP.

Stick with a free entry is the lesson learned but don't put any cash their way.

Wise man--although I have gone in again on a cheapo ad as I surprisingly picked up 2 gigs out of the out of date book after I cancelled the last ad!!!!!!!!!!

Going in every other year seems a reasonable idea as people dont throw away the old copies always:D
