Was going to try and hear void but after the rep never got back on touch with me I though i would leave it.I have heard a ev system jbl and a martin audio.I also like the look of the rcf 4pro 6001 but i was told i would need a bass bin for them.

They are....and they look very cool in a gig situation. Sounds even better. I'm not sure which ones we hired (for a local bands night), but if you stood in front of the bins, your hair was blown back. :D :D

Way beyond what I would ever use.

Fab sound though.

It's not cheap, but compared to products from Nexo, FK1 etc, it's not badly priced.

Line array....line array!!! For a mobile disco. No no no. We use various line array systems at work for live stuff, really only suited if you want to throw the sound further away from you and, more to the point, why would you want to use a flying speaker system for mobile stuff? I know you can ground stack some of the systems, but then surely you're defeating the object. Plus I hate line array, fine until the wind blows....

We also install a lot of F1 stuff in to nightlubs, mainly RES 4's and the horn loaded 218 subs, all decent stuff. We've put the RES 2's in smaller venues as well, the axe head does look rather menacing but does the job! I've not heard the void stuff so I couldn't pass comment on a fair comparison, but I'm sure you'll be happy with the F1 RES2's!!

I heard some of the speakers by KV2 Audio the other week. They are real good cabs. Not cheap though.

I heard them in 2 or 3 different situations.

Disco Use
Band Use
Live Presentations

they are good for all 3. Powerful as well

Besides the fact that it's not a proper line array, the Void Arcline system has 120 degree dispersion, hardly designed for 'long throw'. Apart from being amazing easy to set-up (mid/tops are mounted on a wind up stand system, so don't have to be flown for small applications), it's designed to provide a room filling sound, with little variation of clarity at any point in the room. This is why i'm sure over the next few months a lot of people who have been interested in the Bose L1 will be looking very very keenly at this as a much better alternative.

fine until the wind blows....

...and how many Discos do you / all other DJ's cater for outside?
