New lights anyone else got them....

Hi just a quick note bought some new lights today acme im-5s hid ver...

Have to say these are the best lights i have played with for a long time very bright 3 times as brights as the elc ver and when in uv mode i do not now why iv never bought these before always bought scanners and barrels but these are the doggies just had to say how good they where.....

Funnily enough, I was doing a direct comparison last week in a shop and the HID aren't that much brighter. They are slightly brighter on most colours and the white puts the yellowy halogen to shame.

The moving heads look great though, halogen or discharge.

There is only a diffrence of about £40 a head and to me they looked a lot brighter i also managed to get a couple of free thats right free lamps yessss...Well i did haggle for about 2days on phone as found heads cheaper so they matched the price and gave me the bulbs i think to shut me up.
Lookin forward to see the beasts in action on friday have a freddie mercury tribute night to all should go well....

i prefer lights with 15 channels to play with.. haha.

But did see them and thought they looked pretty funky.

Although.. in my experience when buying a number of lights.. they always chuck the bulbs in anyway.. haha.

At £40 a head more, they are definately worth going for, agreed. But as I said, I linked one of my halogen ones up to three HID ones and yes, they were brighter and the white was a lot better, but I don't think they were 3 times as bright.

i got 4 irock 5s hids and 2 irock 5b hid
thinking of getting 2 hid flowers
and a blue laser and another green laser
and as for brightness they are twice as bright as a 250w halogen

pressumably the other advantage of them is that they are dimmable?
