I am currently looking to update my website as it's only a homepage at the moment (complete with spelling mistakes)

I am not a HTML guru so was looking for some software that's cheap and VERY easy to use. Looking for something like a drag and drop site if these are available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you not have Microsoft FrontPage? Not the best, but will do the job.

NVU is an okey editor.
It's free
nvu.com

Although I personally suggest you buy a book on html and read up a bit. just makes things easier

If you don't know what to do, then you can by Mr Site, which lets you create your own website.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mr-Site-PC-Mac/dp/B000I59YJU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/202-5008490-3591861?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1190389405&sr=8-1

I use it as well as it was ideal when I didn't know what I was doing!

Did my whole site (http://www.vectisvibe.com)in Coffee Cup HTML editor with a few free PHP & Java scripts thrown in for good measure.

The free version is good if you know HTML, otherwise you'll need to pay for the full product which has the WYSIWYG mode as well.

I use Dreamweaver MX and I'm the same as you mate (JayDee)..I know fluff all about HTML but there are different ways you can use it and I use what I think is the easiest way.

Dreamweaver is certainly a beast.. especially the latest one.. which i use.. but it costs a fair old whack. depends how much use you will get from it.

All mine are done in Dreamweaver for layout and then handcoded to tidy it up... I have a library of Javascripts for various functions too (e.g. button / text rollovers)

...having said that, you can get excellent templates for free all over the web (just Google 'free web templates') for usually just a linkback to the template creators' website.

Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, use the 'Save As HTML' from Microsoft Word to create a page!
