I've just redone most of my sound getting shot of the dare system! and while checking out my new system found my trusty BSS crossover which I've had for about 15 years has finally past on to a better place and snuffed it totally!

Probably the same as it was 6 months ago in this thread (http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5820&highlight=oldest) although I did forget to mention a Martin Rainbow that was at least 7 years old when I bought it second hand 9 years ago. Still works, but needs the fan guard replacing (as Mark found out to his cost the last time he used it :sj:)

When it comes to microphones, SM58s are the dogs...simply the best you can get.

Must be my laptop, it's really retro (about 6 yrs old) but does the job as a DMX controller well.

Either that or my now (2nd) backup Numark mixer.

I do have some old 70's/80's light boxes and moonflowers but they've been retired.

The oldest piece of kit in use is my shure radio Mic, 12 years old and still going strong. I've recently bought a new updated one, but i've only used it the once. I prefer the sound of the old model (even though I wouldn't have expected there to be difference in sound quality).

I have an HH MA100 PA Amp which also doubles up as a mixer --must be 30 yrs old--used it Friday as a mixer---useful for smaller gigs.

I have a shure SM58 Radio mic which I bought (I think) in 1992 when I was singer in my old band. It has been used and abused for the last 15 years but just recently have had a few "interference" issues with other radio mic users (as it's the old VHF frequency).

I'm looking into a new one as I'm using a cabled version now but I'm looking at a Sennheiser radio mic - a little pricey I know but I've heard them live and like... WOW!
