As briefly mentioned in another thread I had a great 21st last night, not because the floor was heaving the whole night (far from it), but because the woman who hired me (as a last minute replacement for their usual DJ who had let them down) advised me at the end of the night that many guests had commented on how much better a job I did than the usual guy would have ;)

Anyhoo, I barely saw the birthday boy all night except for speeches - I think he was in the other bar watching rugby or something. Not knowing that this was going to be the case when I spoke to him on Friday I asked him what sort of music he was into, his reply was 'Dance Music'. What's the point of being 'into Dance Music' if you don't actually dance? It wasn't just the attraction of whatever game was on, either, as several people said he wasn't a dancer. :confused: Odd.
So it was a night of Motown, disco and cheese (including my second ever playing of 'Amarillo') with a few clubby dance tunes in the last hour to see if I could coax a drunker birthday onto the floor - the result was a floor full of young ladies in short skirts enjoying themselves immensely... I no complain :D
