Hi all,

Just posted a thread in the Mobile Disco forum, titled "Help on Lighting", be glad of your thoughts.

About me..Im 30 years old living in Maidstone, Kent.
Ive been DJ'ing for about 10 years. I started DJ'ing at mates house parties, and since then have done gigs mainly for friends, and friends of friends. Most of my bookings have come via word of mouth, and I normally do only a handful of gigs per year as a result. I have all my own equipment but hire some Mackie powered speakers when required, as I dont have the space to store them at home, and I cant justify the cost of buying some, due to the limited use I'd get out of them at present.
I mainly play 70's, 80's party and house music via CD, but get enjoyment out of playing any music that gets people dancing and enjoying themselves. (strangest request so far...Chaz and Dave, Rabbit! But they enjoyed it, so what the heck!)
I'd like to DJ more, and would maybe like to get on the books of some agencies to get more regular work? Ive DJ'd a couple of times at Hilton and Holiday Inn hotels and many small village halls etc.

I'd be gald of your thoughts and look forward to chatting to you all via the forums.

Thanks,

Franc'

Hi Franc

Welcome to the forums.

I'd like to DJ more, and would maybe like to get on the books of some agencies to get more regular work?

You should pop along to one of the SEDA meetings if you're interested in networking with other Djs and picking up more work. They're right on your doorstep.
