In the hall and all set up, people that booked me come up and say,

"Guest of honour should be here at 8:00."

Fine I said, no problem.

8:00 comes and goes, tick tock, tick, tock,

8.30 they come up again and say "He's gone missing....not sure where he is...."

The person who's birthday it was never turned up!

We had a wedding where the bride and groom never turned up (evening do only). Rumour had it, not everything was green grass and fluffy bunny rabbits in married land.

Yes it was a surprise, but someone was due to bring him there.
