Well last night was a damm good night... A wedding at Chevin Country Park Hotel in Leeds.
So i get there and as usual weddings are never running to the planned time so i sat outside waiting to get in, So i wheeled the trailer to the fire exit at the top of the ramp ready to get in so i can get in before the band as it was a average sized room and i wanted the best spot. They finally clear the room and me and the band are set up, Sound checked and everything! The guests start to return back to the room with all my lights set to pink on the dancefloor with grandmaster love playing softly. Then the bride and groom come over to me and are ready for the 1st Dance, This was only about 9:10 so i did the 1st dance and went into Wham - I'm Your Man straight after as requested by one of the guests, The dancefloor was rammed out and it was time for the buffet... So i thought im going to loose them all here to buffet.. So i announced the buffet and they just didnt care they danced all the way through.
Then it was the bands turn to go on, they rocked it out then it was handed back over to me where i opened back up with The Mavericks - Dance The Nightaway and they kept dancing, Then the band was back on after i did 30 and they rocked it out big time (The best beatles tribute i have ever seen)!! As they finished i asked the crowd if they wanted an encore and they went mental for an encore so the band finished off with Hey Jude and it was back over to me for last hour where i played everything from Queen to Robin S. The wedding party all came over at the end of the night and shook my hand and so did the band.
