Video clips

I have two vid clips from the weekend I want to put on You Tube

Is there a way of joining them together into one to upload so the second one kicks in immediately the first one runs out?

Then I can submit once to You Tube--

Yes.. it is called windows movie maker!
If your running say XP.. your pc should have come with it already installed (normally speaking.)

You can import the two video clips into the maker and cut / edit / fade etc the clips so that they are as you desire..

You can also add audio.. titles.. anything you want really :-)

ANYWAY.. once you have finished editing etc.. you then go to FILE -> SAVE MOVIE FILE ..... this 'movie' file is then the one you want to upload to YouTube.... although make sure it is within the MB allowance and the time allowance.

Should you struggle for any reason (although i'm sure you wont!!).. you can always send the clips over and I can put them together for you.

The clips are 50mb and 30mb so cant email

Anyway when I drag the two clips into Moviemaker they dont play properly---either of them---the music keeps going but the pictures freeze--

It looks really MICKEY MOUSE they keep freezing which looks rubbish.

Any ideas how to solve that anyone?

It looks too unprofessional to bother :eek:

Use VirtualDub, it's a free download (and a stand-alone program - no messy installation or risk of adware/spyware etc)

Go to 'File=>open video file', open the first clip. Then go to 'File->append segment', and open the second clip. Select 'direct stream copy' under the video and audio menus, then go to 'File->Save As..' and save your 'joined' video file :)

Ok things have moved on--I now have several vid clips I want to put on to a compilation CD to send to clients.

From MVI files I have burned these files on to a CD using Nero.

They show as DAT files ---is that what I should expect?

Slight problem is to open them I have to select Windows Media Player as the program to open them before they will open--can you burn them with Nero and select WMP as the program to open them automatically---as most people have WMP?

Hi,

Make sure you complete the 'project' and not just save the settings and tmeline. I used to thats why videos didint work with me, silly I know but now its fine. (Whats your youtube channel name).
