It must be yours:D

Had mine well over a year now used them loads of times ( not every week mind) NO PROBLEMS

I did a Dragonfly last year and smashed them into a Marquee Floor---ouch but they just keep going and going-------

Only problem I have is I put them on the floor recently and tripped over the
C8 cable--which ripped out the jack plug socket---normally you expect the jack plug to go first:(

Are you using the right bulbs?

Dynarolls are very effective and pleasingly bright.

There's one top left (inbetween the laser and the sign) on this video (http://www.vectisvibe.com/video/ClubVibe Aug07.wmv).

I know this is so obvious, but it has been seen before. When you fit bulbs, don't touch the glass with your fingers.

I use 4 of the dynamo's and I havent blown a single bulb so far (touch wood)
The 100 watt bulbs are normally pretty robust.

Befor you ditch the units you may want to check the following. How you cable them makes a big difference, a cheap switching unit can make surges through your equipment this will reduce lamp life considerably. Do you use a surge protector on your lights? I use a belkin surge protector and it helps smooth power. Although it cant do miracles it has helped me.
Do you let them cool down before derigging? I always allow mine nearly 30 minutes to cool down before I touch them.
And how do you case / transport them. I have managed to drop my case containing dynamo's on no less then 5 occasions to date and the bulbs are still ok. But I have mine padded in a abs shell suitcase lined with high impact foam (same stuff they use in those memory pillows) This has helped them be protected in transit and through my clumsiness.
Other thing is the onboard transformer my be faulty. These can be replaced for about £40 per unit or for free if unit is still in warantee. May be asked to supply proof of fault though. I returned one of my lights that had a problem with the 4 bulbs it had blown. They replaced the unit and gave me new bulbs as well even though i didnt buy bulbs from them.
