i belive its 1.75 but there is about 5mm spare so allows for alittle bit of lee way.... so what you wanting to mount (just out of curiosity) then?

A Martin 2510 playback controller, a 1U switch panel and a 2U switch panel. Oh and thinking about putting one of my radio mics receiver in a rack tray too.

I had a set of those for karaoke, but sold them - didn't really think the quality was good enough. They look great racked up though.

I'm looking for a shallow rack, as I'll need to plug IECs in to a block on occasion.

Like anything, they have cheaper models and more expensive models. What were you particularly interested in?

the one's in the rack are the VHF range. UHF are better but didnt see the point in buying them.


imo i think there really good mics. when i tested the i went about 25 meters down the garden from my bedroom and sound could still be heard even through 3 brick walls. i think thats rather good. but in the open air they say then can travel 50 meters which i believe.

the vu on the front has a blue LED and its really bright. to bright in fact because you cant read the dial correctly but if your eye level its ok


the sound quality is really good. with a little mixer tweaking they can sound a dream

As I've said IMO they are OK. I had the UHF ones which were OK for karaoke and the like, but I definately wouldn't have used one for DJing with.

That said, I've always used very good quality mics - Shure SM58s, radio and leaded, VHF then UHF. I now use a couple of UHFPG58s for karaoke which are extremely good, but don;t have the top end clarity of the SM which I use for vocal and DJ work.
