Hi everyone,

Came across this site while searching for listing sites and really like this forum.

I'm a 34 year old that used to be a vinyl dj - mainly house music back in the early 90's (still got the dusty SL1200's in the garage)

Recently got started on the mobile scene playing allsorts with some cheap but sturdy kit;

Citronic CD 4.2
Kam KAP1000 Mixer (all boxed up in a KAMcase)
Kam 1500w Power amp
Second hand pair of electrovoice ZX4's
2 excercet moonflowers

Got my Public Liability Insurance and am looking at getting a website up and running soon. Already done a few gigs at pubs but looking to get into functions and weddings etc

Will have lots of questions to ask about kit, and the business side of things but everyone seems really helpful here.

Look,
I'll be honest. You wont get anywhere in this business if you don't have lots of lights. Including multiple moving heads.. all DMX'd controls.. it is all about the equipment.. sorry!

haha :p :p
(was funny in my head..)

Welcome to the forum!!

Indeed, I realise looking at some of the great set-ups on the gallery area here that I need to add some decent lights. I'll have to add bits as when finances allow, but will deffo make sure anything new I buy is DMX compatible. :)

:-)
really you just need to be a great dj... and have a set up to compliment it. Anyway.. any questions feel free to ask... and your welcome to add me to msn

Hi there and :welcome2:

PS - Just to make sure........ AsTecDJ was joking about the kit! As he said in his follow up, almost everyone will agree...... so long as your kit is reliable, it's the DJ, not the kit that maketh the night! ;) :D
