Yes it's true... Sadly a close work mate was put to rest.... :(

She was hard working, reliable, got me through the thick and thin and was always around when i needed her.... But today was a sad day where i just had to let her go... :(

GUK my trusty Vauxhall Combo was put out of service today due to old age...

On the plus side she has been replaced by a fatter, more energetic, newer model...

Yes I'm now the owner of a nice Tranny....... Pretty much a standard tranny but with a couple of extras like metallic paint, traction control, air conditioning, electric windows / mirrors and CD player.... :D :D :D

Sad to see the Combo van go as it really has been a great workhorse but it wasn't going to last forever and has been too small for the bigger stuff for a while... and with the rust starting to appear within 6 months it wouldn't have been too presentable and not something to really pull up to venues in so bit the bullet and today bought the new baby...

Took the night off to wet the new babies head  So off for a fun night outin redditch.

Here's a couple of pics of my new baby (1st 2 pics and the old girl in retirement 3rd pic) - a Ford SWB Transit 260 100ps Exec Air.....

... and are you putting the old girl out to pasture, or is she going to the glue factory? :p

ha ha ha yeah don't worry the old girl isn't at the glue factory she was a part ex'd and wasn't in an RIP state just yet so she should live on somewhere in the uk when she gets sold on.... But yeah very happy with the replacement - think the only thing i really need to do is get some wheel trims to finish it of nicely.... but right now i have not too many size worries and a couple of extra luxury features to make the longer journeys a little nicer...
As for what i paid it was just over £5,000 and if you really want to know the exact price pm me :P i may pass the price details on :P

Reverse parking sensors? Why can't you call it a towbar, like everybody else?
