hicups

The scene:
I'm sitting in the study centre trying to do my work... and it is busy but quiet.. which makes a change..
So i go and get hicups.. to the extent that I swear 50% of the people are looking around at me thinking i;m some fort of frog man who 'ribbets' now and again!

unlucky chap .... I was in hospital last week with a chap that was in .... with hiccups .... he had been in 7 days and they had been none stop even in his sleep !!!!! apparently they had changed some medication which had irritated his diaphragm??????

Jeez...

It's amazing how scientists have yet to find out why they keep recurring, and more importantly, how to stop them!
