Just got a reply for an email quote we did over the weekend --I was so annoyed at the ignorance and stupidity of it we wrote back ( we dont usually bother )

What do you think? MAYBE its Monday:eek:

Good Afternoon,
Thanks for your quotation, but I have been quoted £400 for caller & 2 piece band.

Hi Cheryl, Good luck to you----prices are meaningless in the Entertainment business.

The success or otherwise of your Barn Dance function is all down to the ability of the Caller or otherwise!

Make sure your getting a good one with references--

I had a call about an hour ago from a lady (that's being far too nice, she wasn't a lady), who asked for a price regarding a wedding for next year. I asked her a few questions regarding venue and times etc and I didn't even get as far as giving her a price as she said "Look, can you just tell me your price please, I haven't got all day"...I gave her a price that I knew she wouldn't like because I automatically thought "I don't want anything to do with this one"...She said "I've been quoted £180.00 so I think I will go with that" - She didn't say thanks or anything and just put the phone down!

Charming eh!?

As you said I think you're better off without customers like that.

Indeed, the sort of person we tend to avoid too, let Mr £180 have the gig.

indeed It was a very fair price you quoted mate and she told a big fat porkie in that you were twice as expensive , im sure it was the woman id spoken to before and she snapped my hand off for the same money give or take 10 quid , but then decided to change the date as I belive she said they were moving house.

second time someone has tried that with a referal from me ... what im going to start doing is contacting people and telling them how much i quoted.
