calling all virtual DJ users

right ...got an ickle problem.....on virtual DJ....I can't search by artist. I thought it was because the tunes were imported from i-tunes....so I did it from media player.....still can't search by artist.

Any ideas guys....or am i just being blonde here!

be first place to start,

rip a cd and make sure it tags them, then try those

OK first bit of advice... upgrade to V5 as they have better support for tagging (especially ID3)...

Does sound as though its a tagging issue... IF you've added all your files to the search database and they only search by title then seems there is a problem with the arists tag...

On V5 level with the search bar where you type it in you'll see on the right hand side you have 2 little circles if you click the first one (which is the search options) and make sure that artist and title are both ticked....

You can't currently do it in Version 4.3... (that i can remember anyway :P)

yep....done that
seriouslythinking of upgrading version from 4.3 tp 5 having looked at what extra is on there

OK.....now got version 5.....wow...love it....thought all my problems were over..... until I connected the DAC3 to it.....now I've got a new set of problems....
some of the buttons are not working with this version whereas they were working on the older version......
mix now button (does it right to left but not left to right), beat match button

But have you configured the mapper?

Did you read the txt file that came with it?
