View Full Version : Opening a LED Par Can Opening

Hi All

Im trying to find a way to open up a LED Par Can 56 but to no joy.
All the screws are connected to bolts INSIDE the unit so its impossible to grip the bolt???? :bang: :bang:
Does anyone know how to open these cases up?

I'm unsure of what you mean, how do screws connect to bolts?? :confused:

Screws normally grip into a surface, and bolts fix into a threaded shaft (like a nut)

Mission accomplished and all LED lights now working.....

Ok I have just spent the last hour breaking into my Par Can to find why I had lost the blue Led.

Instructions:

Now for future reference for those that have the LEd Par Can lights from Thomann here is a step by step guide to replacing the fuses.

1. On the LED round Panel there should be 3 x screws undo these.

2. Pull out LED panel and disconnect the panel from the connector.

3. The 3 red leads that connect the LED panel will have 3 x black connectors which houses the fuses. Pull these through and unscrew the caps to access the fuse.

Another question.....

The Acme Dynamo have spare fuses in them and was wondering if they would be ok to replace the LED fuse???

They both say 250v on them but the fuse line is thicker than the german fuse....
