Mounting prolight Imove 5's

Hey folks,

I am thinking of getting 2 prolight Imove 5S but i am stuck on the situation, how am i going to mount them on my prolight Dj stand as i dont want to sit them on the floor or on top of cases incase they get knocked off.

Can anyone help?!?!-

They come with brackets, put a long light clamp on job done.
I use some small clamps too to keep them tight against the frame

So jus a normal G clamp and thats it job done then?

whaatever you do dont lose the brackets .... i did and it cost me about 50 quid to replace 2 of them.

Well a normal light clamp, and a small g clamp to hold the light clamp to the rig. stops the light leaning to one side

I am stuck for choice now, i am thinking about getting 4 acme dynamos as they are slightly cheaper,

i currently have some abstract XP DJ extreme stuff 2 twisters and 2 barrel effects, i have the prolight dj gantry how you guys think that 4 dynamos and the 4 abstract lights would look if i spaced them out as in dynamo, Abstract, Dynamo, Abstract, Dynamo, Abstract, Dynamo, Abstract

If that makes any sense lol

i used to have 6 dynamos and 4 datamoons on a prolight winch gantry felt it was too much personally.

yeah i might just use the 4 dynamos and then the 2 twisters and maybe put the barrel effects up for bigger venues lol don't really want to make them redundant

to me that sounds a good idea but i like minimalist

lol yeah, like my light shows to look elegant, my abstract rig i can set to pink and have them moving nice and slow on the dancefloor, If i put the twisters up i will be able to use them for the 1st dance and then bring the dynamos on for the more funky stuff later on.

Paul, although I am now putting my heads on the ground, it would be very useful to have a picture for reference sake.

You have and if you look very closely, they lean to one side very slightly.

yeah they do, i have an ultimax winch stand too, never seen it bow like that before tho lol, i thought it was never possible but i have been proved wrong

It's not bowing - this has been discussed before many a time. :rolleyes:

It's something to do with the camera.

If you don't believe me, there are quite a few people on here who have seen it 'live' and will tell you it's a trick of the light.

lol i belive you... i didnt think there was a possible way of bowing the top bar of the ultimax anyway, ive mounted 2 mac250 krypons on it and it moved a touch

it is still worth considering the weight of all your effects.. and your stands max capacity though :)
