If you have renewal documents from your current insurere they will show a no claims discount and you simply renew with your new insurer to continue when your current policy expires and send them your renewal forms to prove your no claims (assuming you have one)

Go to the new insurer and tell them the details of your old insurer, policy number etc and they will sort it out for you and transfer everything over on the applicable date.

Look on quidco.com - I just shaved £130 off my renewal by buying Prudential through quidco.
There are quite a few insurers on there just now with various cashbacks in the range £50 - £100+
cheers all. somthing to think about (well quickly anyway)

What annoys me is that every year, the company I'm with will increase my quote, rather than decrease it
They are possibly doing it in the hope that I just leave it and the direct debits will continue (fat chance), but I managed to knock a good £100 off this year, down to £308.

Is that for business use too?
i was hoping mine to get smaller but they still want the same as what i have just paid for this year.

Just changed from Tesco to More Than, saving £180. Now £40 a month, with 5 years no claims bonus. Hopefully will go down even more when i hit 25 :D
