njd datamoon - budget but still very good effect from what im told

acme ishow 4 - still not majorly expensive imo looks nice and has separate colour/gobo wheels

abstract twister 4 hp - many will say the "toaster" is the danglies of moonflowers top end price wise but it has got an abstract sticker on it

martin egos - see twister 4 but alot better looking

think thats what you mean by gobo effect as lots of lights have gobos dynamos, and other scanners also have gobos as opposed to just being wash effects.

or there are a few projection units that just pjoect 1 gobo ie. your logo onto the floor or ceiling? wildtech do a reasonably priced one of these....

I saw one of these (discharge version) in a shop the other day and they are impressive, I have to say.

Just under £200 for a discharge effect - bargain.

At least three of us on another forum have just bought a few of the Futurelight CF200s (http://www.futurelight.com/)(search 51837540). I bought 4. They are a 250 watt Discharge Moonflower with seperate gobo and colour wheels. They are on special offer from here (http://www.mediazero-shop.de/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/60_125_452_884/products_id/2635) (excluding lamps) best lamps available here (http://www.thomann.de/gb/osram_hsd25080_lampe.htm) whitest and longest lasting @ 3000hrs. So under £100 for a moonflower with seperate gobo and colour wheels, £51 each for a 250watt discharge lamp that lasts 3000 hours. £150 all in.

Agreed, and I have seen it on the side of Steves flat, but I was specifically talking about the discharge 'cos of the price.

That was a Kaleido, but the body & optics are the same.

I didn't mention them as they don't really have gobos in the traditional sense.

They have gobos yes, but they are only there to work in conjunction with the mirrors to create the kaleidoscope effect. Might not be what you were thinking of when you started this thread Paul, but worth a look. As is the Acme stormbird or the Stairville version of it (can't remember what they call theirs)

I'll be getting a Wild Tech 250 watt gobo flower soon, as I think it was the effect recommended by the most people when I recently asked for advice about gobo flowers.

I think you can get the halogen version at the link below (it's the 6th one down) for only £69 with free delivery!

At that price, I don't see how you can go wrong.

The Cubist is nice too, although not a gobo flower either in the strictest sense (different though)

The Wildtech Fascination is a 250w light and I got one of those a few weeks back. It was only £89.00 with bulb and carry case and it really lights up the whole venue. It creates an instant dancefloor or looks awesome pointed at the ceiling too. It is really 'trippy' and has a great pattern, almost reminds me of some of my tribal tattoos to be honest with you. I use it as a centre piece with dynamos and lasers either side and when you turn it off and have everything else going it really creates the atmosphere as when it's on it has so much coverage, it's almost like blackout when you turn it off which looks really cool when the others are going - I would fully recommend it and it's very cheap too.

again 99 quid each ..... datamoon / spins why not try and find a video of each and compare? from experience the spread on the datamoon is very good.

on an ebay shop but thats without postage sure i saw them for 99 somewhere but it was a while back .... thomann dont have the logo on their site anymore either which is an ishow-3 but at thomann prices.
