If there is another thread then could someone please link me.
Im very intrested in doing wedding's but not sure how they are run from start to finish, but then again i have no experaince in doing them. These can be big money and also could be a good chance to get myself out there as im sure there are more wedding's than party's.
could anyone give me any pointer???
many thanks

I think the main point here, is that you should bear in mind that it is someone's wedding - possibly the biggest day of their lives. As such, even after taking in all the good advice on offer here, I wouldn't encourage you to DJ a wedding by yourself yet.
Myabe you could tag along as a roadie with someone, the experience would be absolutely invaluable? :)
i did ask not to long ago but maby i didnt really say im here is anyone need help. in that case.
If anybody need help with moving gear and in return to gain infomation about wedding's i am here. im willing to travel about 60 miles from ME2 to the actuall wedding itself and maby a little further to meet up with you (who ever it may be) to discuss anything that need to be discussed

Tom,
I'm about 50 miles from you, and if you don't mind travelling, then you're more than welcome to come along to one of my weddings to see what they're all about.
Having said that, the wedding season has just about finished for me this year, so we would have to wait until next March or April.
Obviously, if you get an offer from someone nearer to you, then it's probably easier to take it...but my offer will remain open indefinately.
:)

ok ill take you on that.
thats not a problem about waiting until next year. i would rather learn it correctly than ruin someone greatest day of there life (untill they divorce). plus it also give me time to buy a nice tux. have a very dark navy suit but i dont think that will be ok or will it???
also just to note i dont want any mixing time. i would just rather watch and see what happens. what songs give what effect.

No problem!
A dark navy suit will be fine...I usually wear a suit with a shirt & tie for weddings...although I rarely wear the jacket as I get too hot.
We'll chat about it early in the new year.
