Hi all,
You may remember my long post from last week regarding the 40th birthday party I did in a marquee at someone's house. I said at the time that it was possibly the best gig of the year.
On monday I received a text message from the guy saying how much he and his guests had enjoyed the night.
This morning I checked my email and sitting there was the following -
Hey Gary!
Where do I start? I guess I had a fair idea of what we were getting when we booked you ,in fact I was more than a little smug. All those nights spent at your club nights Back to The Future and Shakermaker going back almost 10 years meant I was totally confident that we were getting a great DJ.
In a nutshell I can honestly say that from my initial e-mail enquiry through your website, to the last record of the night, the Shakermaker experience was exceptional.
The night itself was like having a club in my own home. The Marquee looked fantastic. No dodgy 70's Disco lights, no lightweight sound systems, and no amateur dj, instead we got a top notch laser show, a truly awesome sound system, and Gary C spinning the discs and in the mix. The sound quality was just sublime and I'm sure Weller was in the room with us at one point!
I am so glad that we didn't give you a heavy steer on the music mix as you read the willing crowd perfectly and kept them dancing all night long (except for when they were at the Casino Tables). How often do you go to a party or wedding reception when the whole, packed dance floor is shouting More!at the DJ after the last record has finished? That says it all really for me. Great job Gary.
Hope I catch up with you back at Bang Bar one of these days as it's been a long time (do they let the over 40's in?!) If they do you must let me buy you a beer as it's the least I can do. Incidentally thanks also for the mix CD you did, brilliant choice of tracks in there (Precious was the first 12inch I ever bought!) I really appreciate the time that would have taken you Gary. I listened to it three times in a row last night, just magic! Even my 21 year old brother thought it was pretty cool!
Feel free to use me as a reference, or quote me anytime.
All the best again

These comments will sit proudly on my customer comments page. It was a hard day last saturday but comments like these make it all worthwhile.
Thanks
