To be honest, I don't mind England winning things, so long as it isn't football. Why? Because we are subjected to endless waffle from the press about how great and unstoppable they are - they still can't stop bleating on about 1966 :rolleyes:

If England were to win a (football) euro championship or world cup, we would never hear the end of it.

Anyway - I voted England on this because I'm starting to dislike the French a bit after their incredible vanity and ****iness before they played us at footy (and look what happened to them! :D )

We lost a few (male) guests from the wedding who sloped off to the nearest pub to watch the match.

Having played Swing Low earlier to great effect, when they returned with the result I announced it and told them it was their rendering of Swing Low that did it. The cheers were deafening (no sound limiter luckily :whistle: )

Well we had a wedding function room full of women only! The boys were either in the bar or in their rooms watching the rugger. There was a jazz band on as well who were taking care of "the older guests" and my remit was 80's and 90's only inbetween the band. So while the game was on we had a girly 80s session and when the lads came back we had all the baggy!

Cool evening had by all... one of my fave weddings of the year. Wasn't supposed to use haze or smoke but how can you start a session with 'God is a DJ' with lasers only without a few plumes? Set the fire alarm off but everyone stayed put! Luckily only a local alarm so quickly reset...
