How do you make your speakers wireless

Hi all,

Getting fed up of being limited by cables for my speakers. Do you know how to make your speakers receive the music via radio waves.

I know you need to have active speakers, but do the speakers have to have radio receivers in them, or is this another piece of gear that you need.

Also are there any complications or limitations on using this type of system.

Do you plug something into your speakers, as well as something into your cd player????

Have you ever heard a radio mic get interferance. if so I would avoid this type of system like the plague.

Imagine the noise of interferance when the amp is at full power.

Thats what I thought when I first heard the suggestion. Convinced I wont be trying this option.

Yes there are systems out there i think carlsboro make one also a lot of light show companys are using wireless DMX . All work on the principal of sender and receiver.

You shouldnt get radio interference with UHF--I never do on my UHF Radio Mike.

However I agree theres a good chance it wont be as good quality wise as a Radio Mike---hissing noises at high volume maybe?

Are there any pro systems available to buy on the market?

After all you can buy home hi fi using this technology.

You can get interferance on UHF as well. If anything is transmitting within .5 of the frequency your on you will get interferance. Admittedly not as much chanch and VHF but anything wireless and there is a possibility.

Wireless DMX is not as bad as it doesnt produce ear splitting noise if it does pick up any interferance.
