Don't the American products work on a different voltage to their UK counterparts?

They do indeed, a lower voltage. Stops them frying themselves I suppose.

I think we are getting confused here with names.
There are 2 companies, one called American audio and one called American DJ.
I'm pretty sure that Prolight used to distribute at least one of them.

Martin Audio and Martin Professional are NOT the same company, Martin (lighting) used to manufacture louspeaker ranges under the name 'Mach', with HQ in Denmark, Martin Audio are London based.
American Audio is distributed by Prolight. American DJ is a different company.

I wasn't really referring to any company in particular. Just stating (in response to flatliners post below) that an item designed for and sold in America might not be suitable for use in the UK due to voltage differences. If they've been manufactured for sale in the UK and are distributed by a UK company then I'm sure they would be fine.

Because I thought he was talking about one of the companies, rather than American stuff in general.

Closest I know of , and don't laugh, there is a white version of the Vasto. Has the advantage of low cost, but way down on wattage.

NJD datamoon with handheld controller set to 'white, manual, 5rpm'. The gobo on white is a circle, no pattern.
