How many of you take the time to email or phone the prospected client with your details and price quote but never hear anything back????

I always send a read receipt with my emails but recently i have been getting no replies it just me or is this happening to anyone else?

I hate the way UK Disco regions are organised. I would prefer they were listed under one main region(Fife) instead of minimal sub-regions within Fife. I get more equiries through the MDD Directory than I get through UK Disco. I get plenty of third party enquiries, but very little direct enquiries through the UK-Disco site.

Yes i also find the mdd directory very good at getting enquiries from so much better than say yellow pages,telephone book ect.

I have a Silver listing, and have never had a direct enquiry. Wouldn't mind trying a Gold for a year, but there are none available.

I have quite a few click throughs from this site.

In outlook I think you can choose not to send a read receipt back, if you don't want to. Doesn't a window pop up saying " The sender has requested a read receipt, do you wish to send one" or something like that ?

I also upgraded to a silver membership about 6 months ago.Dont know if its increased my bookings though.

I fail to see why they can't make gold listings available to all who want them. Is there a good reason for this?

I am currently waiting to upgrade to Gold.. silver doesn't have the best coverage really.. so I await to see the results of gold :)

Currently with Silver I am getting a few messages a month.. and I always pick up on the 'open' enquiries.

The only place I advertise apart from UKdisco and word of mouth , so far

I reply to loads of enquiries on uk-disco, but never hear back from any of them, I went through a stage this year when I had about 14 within 5 days. I never did hear from one of them. And I always ask for receipts on delivery and reading. Don't get anything from MDD though.

Uk disco i am simply not getting the enquiries i want anymore, i had a gold membership until a few months ago, i got the gold membership for £52 last year, i thought ok i can live with that and was getting a few enquiries, Then all of a sudden it comes up for re-newal and its £91... i was bugger that not going for that again and i have now dropped back down to a basic free listing.

I don't like sites like UK Disco, where prospective clients can only contact you through the site, and (depending on your listing) enquiries are also sent to your competitors.

I much prefer the sites where people can click on a link to your website, read about you there and then contact you direct using their preferred method.

well i am now seriously seriously ticked off i have stayed up until midnight because my region stated that a gold position was available on the 16th october so dead on midnight i try to upgrade my listing ......... wont let me then magically at about 6 minutes past the date changes to a spot bcoming available on the 25th....

to be honest i didnt know that there were websites where you can post up your disco company and get bookings that way, but if people are only getting 1 booking a month or none at all i dont think i will bother with all the fuss.

Im moving to a silver listing as i get alot of bookings throught them had one the other week just had the paper work throught for it with out the booking fee so had to call her to send it just shows some people must not read paper work and just skip to the signing part ...

But back to topic i reply as soon as i can i.e with in 24 hours of getting the e-mail, also you get an email saying text this £1.50 etc i text'd it and had no money still got the contact number , email ect.
