upgrade time

I use Deltec speakers GX12 for tops 450 watts and GX16 600 watts for the bins, I use the tops for karaoke on they own or for small disco and they pack hell of a punch.

But after 3 yrs of thrashing the hell out of them I think its time for something a bit louder (i do like to feel the music not just hear it) and better quality

so any ideas chaps

All depends on your budget really,

I would reccomend Mackie or turbosound

Both quite pricey but will last you a lifetime if you look after it properly,

Daz and a few others on here use mackie, im sure they will give you their opinions on it.

I like my Mackies. The sub worked after falling of my trolley and rolling away....which is always a bonus. :D

They are nice...........and i personally don't think they need subs......they pack a good punch with my D-class....even though i need to sell a pair to finance somethig else.....:(

Why?

Deltec have always had a very good reputation and are a mid level speaker IMO, whereas W/Audio are still a budget cab. (and yes I have got a little pair of the actives!)

A band I have seen a couple of times use them, and they sounded superb. Don't know what they fed them with, though.

I own the UL15 Peavey they are fantastic, use them with subs and you have a very powerful and punchy sound.

I dont have a budget or sorts and would prefer passive, as for the deltecs they are a good speaker just need a bit more loudness

Just remembered myself and clive at CR we matched the gx12 deltec with a ev 12" I couldnt tell the difference, dont think clive did either but he didnt like to say:D

how about sticking with deltec, heard good things about the cx1f and th bx16f combo, very compact tops 12" high by 10" wide i think and weigh about 7 kg, pretty compact subs to and 25kg weight, there ment to sound the ******** to, punching well above there weight as a system.
