Hasn't done so far! I'm just tired, after a day's work, a long trip down to DFB for lights, a farce finding some, and a long run back up! Bed beckons!:D

Come on....... we've all say stupid things at gigs:D
Let's face it, a DJ just has to open his/her gob and stupid things come out.
Hang on?....
Did you mean stupid things you say to a client in all seriousness?
We've still all done it though...mmm..time to get thinking:D

as the thread says. this means it could be the client, a guest, something over the mic. basicaly anything at a gig.

oooo... where do you start?
I stand by my "everytime a DJ opens his/her gob" comment, but ammend it to "everytime I (as a DJ) open my gob":D
I do find myself talking some claptrap on the mic at times:rolleyes:
Who cares that it's Saturday night, 12.45 which means there's 1 hour and 15 mins left of the night? Is there a rush, desperation to get to the end? Does it take that long to get served? Am I bored? Are they bored? Am I bigging up the talents of the clock? Do I secretly want to be the speaking clock? Doesn't anyone know what day it is? (Sunday morning anyway)
This saturday.......
"It's coming up to two o'clock, nearly all we've got time for.." blah blah blah
"It's just turned one o'clock and that's it for tonight..." blah blah blah
I was well impressed that I actually saw my laptop time change from 1:59 to 1:00, made me night that did:D

Scene. A 50th birthday party in a leisure centre. Floor full of about 40 folks dancing. Night Fever is cued and blokey in a white suit, wide open collar, medallion struts onto the floor and gives it John Travolta - badly. I turn to the roadie and shout 'look at that twit' (or similar :D ) before realising the mic was open... :zip:
He took it well....

At a family party where they were a bit slow at starting to dance.
"If you lot don't start dancing, I'll start playing rubbish like this" , goes into Star Trekkin'
They all got up to dance ............... knew all the actions ................ and wanted it again later.
A friend, doing a charity event was playing absolute rubbish and collecting money to stop playing the tracks said "OK, bet you all can't wait to stop this one!" and played Mr Blobby. He had to play it right through as they all got up to dance, Blobby style. :bang:
You can't win sometimes.
