So what are we all doing for Halloween then?
Night in, night out or working?
I'm doing a Halloween quiz at a pub in Kingston.
What about the rest of you?

Night in, fending off trick or treaters with arsenic-laced goodies ;)
And that's completely true, except for the Arsenic and Old Lace.

Oh, the usual, sacrificing a few trick or treaters to Ba'al-zebub, nothing too special.

Just another reason for scroungers to be knocking at your door.

I am DJing at my local for Halloween. They are making a really big deal of it and you can only get in if you are in fancy dress. They are making the pub look nasty and doing horrible ****tails and 'bush tucker trials' type competition (brains, eyeballs..snails (haha) etc).
I've yet to get my costume but as you can see, I don't feel or look to great this morning!

Actually, it feels like I've been working for the last few hours...
2 Flame bobs and a pumpkin lighting the front window nicely, 2 pars in the hallway on green, with the low fogger supplying the smoke, Yamaha PAS300 cabs, laptop and Mastermix Halloween supplying the sounds and me answering the door like this....telling the kids that I eat children....
Quite effective....

I'm not dressed up....
I have my top off and not being the thinnest bloke in the world, it seems to have the effect, especially when I'm telling them I like to eat children and there appears to be room in my belly...:sj:

so thats why your didnt answer when i knocked :D
After last years performance i put on for a group of kids who knocked at the door, i dont think they will come this year. My fog machine and strobe came in usefull, with the aid of a sound fx horror cd and a full scream costume with the fake blood.
When i knew they were coming i filled the hall way with smoke, turned the strobe on a slow pulse, put on the cd to create a really errie atmosphere. Then when the knocked i flew back the curtain and made a real sinister laugh. They screamed and ran off. Well they do dress up and try to be scary but i always have to go one better lol

I must be good, I'm getting them coming back for seconds...
I did consider setting the projector up and projecting onto the side of the house across the road, as I have a Mastermix Halloween DVD...
Maybe next year :sj:

Its only for a laugh. no harm in it. Adds a bit of entertainment. Dom Joly made a futune by shouting HELLO into a big mobile phone, im sure they must be funnier things to do than that.

Early doors, Kiddies Disco. After that, a spot of muscle relaxant at my local, where I have just been in the winning quiz team, and learnt that the pub has just won a "pub of the season " award from local CAMRA. It doesn't get much better than that!:D

Well, I did my Halloween quiz.
I'm glad I left when I did, as I past at least 3 groups of kids trick or treating before I even got to the main road...and that's less than a mile away!
It was week one of a brand new weekly Wednesday quiz night, but the guy who will be doing it couldn't make last night, so I did it for him.
The first week of a new pub quiz is always a bit hit & miss, as they take a while to build up.
I'd say 15 people is pretty average for the first one...
...but last night, I had 70 people
I didnt even have time to do the last round, let alone the bingo, but it was a great atmosphere & everyone really enjoyed it.
Looks like my mate has his work cut out from next week!

I have to say, that after a couple of hours, dried on congealed ketchup does look extremely like blood. (and takes a while to get off too)
