MP3 song titles and artist

I've been ripping some old CD's and they only come up as 01 track1, 02 track2...etc...

Is there an easy way of changing these to the correct title and artist - I'll be using PCDJ Red, can this do it?

You need to configure PCDJ so that it uses the free database and that will put the names of the artists and song titles. (You need to be connected to the internet to do that)

Alternatively use Audiograbber, which is a very good and free bit of software.

might be. i install the program, load in the cd and click rip. is there anything else i should be ajusting or clicking on???

yeah. i use windows media player at the moment but on some of the cd's like the 5 disc albums it dont pick anything up ta all.

just found out how to do it you click on the freedb with a penguin picture. this will save me hours and hours on typing it. cheers.

Always be sure and check the quality of info typed in, though - it's user-loaded content so there are some typos and track titles switched and so on (not to mention the gonks that type all in caps :bang: ).

I tried it last night and all the MP3's only ripped at 56kbs - not nearly good enough? Am I also doing something wrong?

Yes, Steve recommended it to me and its great--go for max 320.

It's not really speed, it's bitrate.

And yes, once the lame encoder is installed, you can rip at up to 320kbps
