Hi all, can you recommend a decent bulb supplier either on the web or in the essex area because we bought some spares a while ago and used them last night with them blowing half way through =(

Would like a reliable supplier of bulbs for mojo spinmaster I's, geni XTC and wildblaze + kam manderin dragon - they all take the same size halogen bulbs.

Just make sure you have the electricity turned off when you water them in after planting then in your lights as water and electricity don't mix very well :)

I mainly get my lamps from Moulsham Electronics in Moulsham Street, Chelmsford (http://www.moulshamelectronics.co.uk/) or Essex DJ in Colchester who's website seems to have disappeared but they have an Ebay shop at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Essex-DJ

Yes it is the lamps i would like! not the bulbs as i so wrongly put it.

i will go and check out the chelmsford store and get on ebay to compare some prices!

I dont recommended that you buy lamps (or bulbs) from ebay.

Mainly because of the postage breaking.

Be careful of buying unbranded lamps on ebay, they may be cheaper, but may have a lifespan of only 35hours. If you don't have to buy a lot of lamps I would suggest philips or osram. More expensive but can last a lot longer.

The returns policy may be a bit dodgy.. say if it did get broken.. whereas big companies tend to have quite a slick system in place... only my thoughts.. i am sure someone will disagree with me for the hell of it :D

Well said.. also some lamps have different urm qualities.. and example is what Will mentioned the other day.
Some lamps have a sort of 'fury' / jagged edge to their output.. whereas say GE are nice and smooth.
IF that makes any sense at all.

Anyway... thats pressuming you want Lamps..... if you want bulbs... try the garden centre :d

I looked up "bulb" in an online dictionary & got the following definitions, so I don't understand the problem:

hello all
i just got a load of lamps from elc 02086439084 chap called mike hawkes
speedy service have not used many lamps yet so cant really comment on how long they last, but they are philips. :)
