You tube copyright issues

[CRAZY K]

I suppose we all often wonder whats going on when you watch well known singers belting out hits on You tube which have been uploaded by fans.

I certainly wondered.

Today I looked for Carrie Underwood ( not particulary a favourite of mine and certainly not a Country act in my estimation) who won the the 41st Country Music Awards for best female singer and also the video prize ( with some other singers)

I went to You tube via a link.

This is what came up--

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Sony BMG

He he he!

You dont see that very often:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well, some companies see that they're getting free advertising, and some have even started uploading their own videos (probably exclusively, insisting no-one else is allowed to upload videos of their artists).

Other companies are, in my opinion, a bit short sighted, and insist on all clips to be removed. I think all South Park clips were ordered off, which is crazy because I'd have thought it would encourage people to buy the full episodes on DVD
