do you confirm to dse regs of 15 minuts break after 2 hours i beleive

when your at a gig ?

Unless you are doing data entry when you are DJing, then it's not necessary.

I assume this information is only valid if you are actually employing the person rather then using a sub contractor.

Must be worse if you use a HD2500, D2 or Cortex, the screens are that much smaller the effects must be that much worse. Have to stop every 20 mins :sj:

I'm not acquainted with the finery of the specific regs but I'd assume there would be get-outs for specific trades or roles... can you imagine a heart surgeon walking off after 4 hours to grab a cup of tea?

My understanding is that the WTD applies only to employees and enforces a break every 6 hours (any sooner is optional) and employees working night time hours (not sure that applies to most discos) have improved entitlements such as average shifts not exceeding 8 hours and free-of-charge regular healthchecks.

For the majority of one-man operators and those sub-contracting, nothing to worry about. For those directly employing roadies I'm pretty sure they get sufficient breaks ;) and for those directly employing DJs etc. you're probably sufficiently versed in employment law to understand the requirements anyway.
