Booking Software

Can anyone suggest any good software to use for booking gigs ? I'm just using a diary at the moment, but it's getting rather full with all the booking forms ? Was wondering if there was any good software out there to use, so it can all be kept on computer, but still in an organised manner ? :)

I just use Total Organiser to keep me organised and scan the booking forms to keep as a digital copy on the computer. Works for me anyway.

I use Google calendar. Advantage is your customers can view anything you choose to display online, and you can add private notes etc. with booking details.

And it's free.

No software. have a hard copy all the way. much safer. What happens if your pc/laptop crashes and you loose everything. Get a filing cabinet and hand write them out. Make a booking form on a pc then print it out and write on that.

And what if you have a fire? Hard copy is no more safe than soft copy - ideally you should be backing up the software AND printing out a copy for filing anyway.

Have a look at www.djeventplanner.com Been using it for a while now as have a few members on various forums... Really good piece of software... not only can you automate quotes, booking confirmations, and invoices etc... but you can also set it up to send reminders to clients, chase up quotes, remind clients when payments are due plus much more all automatically... Freeing up your time for other more important things.

You can also set it up so clients can log in to their event and update their details, add music requests, send any additional infor etc....

It is kind of like DJ Intelligence but with more features and more customisable for the UK market...

Backup wise the servers take auto backups and there's also a feature where you can back up all the info held on the system to your machine in either excel, CSV, outlook etc... So not only do you have a main server backup done by www.djeventplanner.com but you can also back it up at home and burn to CD...

Works out at £50 per year that can be payable by paypal...

The downside is it does take you time to get your head around it as there isn't any instruction manual yet... But the support forum is good and it only takes a short while to get the hang of it...

i see what you mean but usually in a fire you will lose your pc and hard copys if in the same room. so lets sa you have an office fire and your pc and hard copys are in the same room. :confused:

If you have a fire it won't make a blind bit of difference whether you have them on a PC or hard copies.

You would still loose them whether they are on a bit of paper or on a computer and are in the same room. You are creating a problem that may never happen KMA. If it worries you so much make a backup every so often on a cd and give it to a mate or someone to look after.

Been looking at some of the software that has been mentioned and looks useful. Makes my system of scanning forms in look a bit outdated now.
