Hi all, Me again.


Could you please give me your opinons on the Citronic MPCD-S3 CD/MP3 please
seems to be a good price, from the past posts on the forum, i understand people have had bad experence from citronic? Ive only had Turntables and the MSK2 from them so i dont really know too much about them, but didnt they develope alot of mixing functions we now take for granted, such as Punch buttons, Kills, Crossfader reverse ect oh maybe ive ben getting mixed up again, :zip: (can you blame me with all the infoand experts on here:) )

Also do any of you have/owned Gemini CFX20 CD PLayer are these any good?

Or can any of you recomend some CD decks which will play CDRs/mp3s like.:p

Used a Numark MP302 for a couple of years without any problems before I realised I hadn't used it for a while since getting my d2 and promptly sold it :p

Very quick to read even discs with complex folder structures. From what I remember these are in the same sort of price bracket as the models you mentioned.

Depends on what your budjet is. I use pioneers cdjs 800s mk2 for my gigs but that cos i like the way they feel than having to use a dual cd player. Some people like dual i prefer using 2 single decks. but the pioneers are very good and will last.

The Numark MP302 seems good, with the right spec but i am after CD decks really, its what i am used to i prefere the feel and where there placed sort of thing , sounds daft really, but i will keep them in mind in case i dont find any Single Decks. Thankyou thou

Again the Pioneers are very good but a bit out of my price range, i rekcon about 300 to 400 Quid for the pair Hopefully, but might stretch a little bit.

I switched from individual Pioneer CD decks (can't remember the model, too long ago!) to the MP302 and to be honest for my types of gigs (general private functions) they're perfect. Everything in two boxes, you've got the spin wheels and pitch bend etc.. Standard 19" rackmount too....

why not look at the denon dns 1000s or look at pioneer's 200s

The Denons are very impressive but too expensive for me, i am looking at around 3-400hundred for a pair, Is this too cheap for a decent Entry level pair? Maybe i should re look at the price range.

ive used citronic gear before and really realy rated it cd players and mixers , infact my back up mixer is still the original citronic msx 1 i had when i started out in this business , without a scratch on it and in perfect working order.

what about the axis 9 numark cd players although im not sure they are mp3??? i had a pair for a short while and loved playing with them.

That looks really good as well, but i think i am going to try and find summit a little cheaper, i think the price of the citronics is the highest i really want to go, about £380 400 top for the pair.

Thankyou for your advice, back to the searching, well atleaset i have got my money worth out the internet bill this month.

FWIW, a friend of mine used Stanton c313's (£229 from HTFR.co.uk) and they are good for MP3 on CDR
