Looking to upgrade my lights.
The ones I have are not bright @ 100w, in fact the twister 3's in anything other than pitch black are a waste of time.
So was looking at a budget of £500 for 5 lights and seeing as these come in at around £100 each for the following 250w lights, then just wondered if they would be the best bet for the money.
Pair Acme Puma's or Datamoons ?
Pair Acme Dynamo's ?
One Acme Dynarock as a centre piece ?

Would go for 2 dynarocks rather than the dynamos myself. Same price but a better effect.

If i had £500....i would go for Wizard......saw a thread on here a while back...
It looked impressive.....but the Martin one was very exspensive...nearly double but someone posted a slight cheaper version for about £350...i think..:)
Leave a little money left for 2 gobo flowers..........:sofa:
Three light's not five, just slight over budget....but that's what i would do.
It would also do smaller venues.......:)
But what do i know.

Actually, you were mis-informed there by (un) Prosound.
It is called a Martin Mania EFX 500 not Martin Mania EFX 500 Pro Wizard. I dunno where they got that name from!

So a pair of dynarocks and a pair of Pumas and leave out centre light. Would those give me good floor coverage and movement ?

That does look good but would one be enough to cover a room ?

When sean added it to prosounds website... he took it off the invoice he got from Martin... They are known as mini wizzards... Hence the name Martin EFX500 Pro Wizzard.
Sean is a very very very good friend of mine so state that you know me if you do buy from him and you will get a very very good deal.

Get a couple of Acme Dynarocks and some ImpossibLED or LittLED's and that will do you for a while.

The Impossibled do look good but look massive and I really wanted gobo shapes.
The Dynarocks seem to get the
I will get a pair of those first to replace the twister 3's (and Patriot Scan) and then decide on what to replace the Twister 2's (they are brighter than the 3's but no Gobo's).

Why not get a Dynaroll? (twin dynarock). One box instead of 2. Twenty quid cheaper. Can use as a centrepiece?
I have two and they work extremely well paired up with an ImpossibLED as centre and a pair of datamoons - covers all tempos and styles, covers most room sizes apart from aircraft hangars!
