what you guys think of my new site http://www.blitzdiscos.co.uk still some text etc to go on, looking for feedback on the look and layout, im trying to keep it minimal and easy to use.
any comments/sugestions appreciated

I like the colour scheme...It has a nice fresh feel to it. Lots of good pictures of people having fun. I like it a lot, nice job.

Looks good - clean & professional looking. Two quick points: -

1. Lose the Joomla favicon.
2. Add ALT and / or TITLE tags to your images.

It's the icon file (called favicon.ico) which some browsers show beside your address and / or title in the address bar / tab. See the attached pic.

If it's not present, the browser default (in IE's case a blue e) is used, but many sites customise it as a nice little finishing touch (see the MDD one for an example).

Anyway, all Joomla sites start off with the default Joomla favicon, which is a dead giveaway...usually best to remove (or replace) it.

Just noticed a lot of the links in the Gallery section don't work, they seem to be missing the domain and have an extra /, eg: -

http://index.php/?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=38&g2_itemId=366

instead of: -

http://www.blitzdiscos.co.uk/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=38&g2_itemId=366
