Hello all i was just after some advice i am thinking of getting the d2 but have heard that the search times can be slow has anyone on here found that problem i am looking for something to replace my pcdj setup i have tried the cortex but found the screens too small and same with the denon the screen just seems too small to work with any advice please thanks.

Although a small screen it is better to see than on the cortex (i have both a hdc1000 and a d2) The search on a d2 depends on the type of search and amount of data on the drive. I have about 12000 unique songs on my numark and if i use open search ( i.e search in all catagories) it can take up to about 12 seconds to show all results. But if you are more specific it is much faster for example searching for artist only or album only. However any songs on a playlist or already in the crate function can be bought up instantly. I have for example a couple of dozen playlists of genres that i use a lot of. Just by loading on of these for example can transfer up to 100 songs to crate in less than a second.

You will find the screen is ample for use, I can see it clearly from several meters away and I have pretty poor eyesight.
