just had phone call from this bar near where i live and asking if i could dj there, as they got 2 private events happening. They have got all equipment and im going to pop down there to get a look for myself. This might sound silly but do you do bar work same as you would do a normal dicso. they want me to play all differents types of music. so i Would just look at it as a normal disco or would you set the night out eg...start with some dance stuff to get them going or maybe something else.
cheers guys.

If they're private parties then I'd expect they'd be the same as any normal disco. Find out what the occasion is for each party and start from there...
Also, I'd ask the landlord if there are any drinks promotions, upcoming events etc. that he might want promoting.

there both just private partys, they dont want club music just a variety of stuff from dance to disco. Feel bit nervous not done a bar before. lol but experience and just got to enjoy myself and ask crowd for requests etc.

If they are private parties - then it's only the location that's different :)
Who is actually booking you? (ie who is going to sign your T&Cs and pay you - the landlord of the pub, or the person/company having the private party?)
Make sure you get that sorted and your Booking Form completed and signed by the right person, so that there's no arguments later on!
