It was not a hard night I use mixmeister so I dont even push many buttons anymore which gives me time to talk and interact with the customers..

I had to text the mrs who was at home with the diary when I was free.. told the client confirmed the dates took payment was at the same venue I was working that night. and sent out e-mails confirming times and requirements which is just a formality to me. I know I wont be on any later than 11.30 at this venue and know I wont start till 7.30 or 8pm.. So can quote accordingly..

DJing with Mixmeister has saved me soo much time and is the way forward for a lazy dj who does not want to push buttons.. Its drag and drop on a timeline its like playing a pre recording live (ish) listen to the mix/crossover make sure it sounds ok and run with it, set up your tunes and away you go. I have to agree that it does not have the functionality and hands on control but for most of my mobile discos its brilliant.

Sorry Class D are cheap and the Amps to power them would can be cheap. I could make the same statement about Prosound (except maplin arnt that cheap)

If I blew my RCF it would cost me alot more to get it repaired than a hunk of junk that I could just throw in the bin or take it for spares..

Just my opinion..

There is nothing wrong with class d as a cheap speaker but thats all they will ever be.. CHEAP kit.

On more than one occasion we've run Class D side by side with RCF. On one occasion, the staff in a venue said that was the best sounding karaoke they had ever had, and we weren't running karaoke though the RCF. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
From my limited experience, it appears that active cabs are more susceptible to damage from such power supply interruptions than passive, so I'll not contest that point.

Errr, I disagree. I've not heard any rigs that sound better than mine. I've heard plenty that sound louder, and I've heard plenty that cost more though.

I have had Prosound and Class D speakers.

I then purchased my Mackies and would never look back.
