Charlie - I would seriously think before you post if I were you because you will open yourself up to big time grief....(unless of course you were a guest).
I would suggest it could be the right thing to post. If he has a tale of woe that others can learn from, then surely it must be the right thing.
What's the point in just posting, wow what a great night, wow full dance floor all night, wow six cards given out, wow everybody keeps telling me how great I am.
I think one of the biggest mistakes people make can be drinking whilst on duty and yes I am guilty of it at times.
Charlie has been here long enough to know what to expect.
On the way to the wedding I did on Thursday I hit a traffic jam, I knew I could go a different way and that if I'd waited in the jam it would have taken 1 hour +. I was in good time but was still a little panicked, so thought it best to reverse a little and go back the way I came to take another route.
I checked my mirrors, reversed and CRUNCH !!! Straight into a Ford Fiesta with my extremely industrial tow bar, pushing the front of the lady's car into a shape I can only describe as a 'write off'. She was so close to my rear I didn't see her, still my fault though :o
Took me half an hour to calm her down and give her my details, explaining I have a wedding to get to ! Not a scratch on the van but not a great start to any gig really, huh?
I was on time for the wedding and it went well, in case you wondered lol,
I lost 2 years no claims but escaped paying excess as my van wasn't touched.
Jeez Mark, that is a terrible start to a gig. Fairplay to you. The show must go on.
Charlie, I have literally fallen out of DJ boxes in the past, and still not skipped a beat (bars/clubs) you obviously can't handle your drink ;)
That is not at all a helpful comment. Not at all.
Sorry Gary, I'm with Martin on this. Charlie's got form for this sort of thing, even if it's a misguided attempt at humour.
