Too right I would.
I arrived a little bit earlier to set up than I normally do, just to make sure everything was tidy, and that's where things started to go Pete Tong. Last time out I used my new controller and new speaker cables and somehow I managed to mix up my dmx and speaker cables, which meant my lights on the other side of the dancefloor werent responding and the speaker over there wasn't working either. By the time I got everything working properly and looking tidy, it was a few minutes before the Birthday guest was due to arrive......talk about cutting it fine!
I didn't even have time to change my shirt before the party started and had to wait for abut 20 minutes before I could freshen up.
The party went very well and I got a lot of positive comments from the guests AND the staff but I came away from the party feeling a mixture of stress and could have made a better first impression.
