    Smile Well hello!

    Hi there,

I've been flicking through the forums here for ages and finally thought I would say hello and maybe get involved!

I'm Matt, live in the Isle of Man. I've been here just over a year, but formerly lived in Stockport on the outskirts of Manchester where I worked at many of the hotels and venues around the North West. My company was Matt Fletcher Entertainment. I started DJ'ing when I was 14 and 12 years later I still love it! When I moved to the Isle of Man I thought I would hang up my headphones, however around 8 months after that decision I was asked to do a function, another followed, then an agency approached me and the rest as they say is history. The standard of DJ here is very poor, but access to equipment is tricky, there's no disco shops and equipment is hard to come buy without paying a fortune for postage! (For those that don't know where the Isle of Man is - we're in the middle of the Irish Sea)!

Having sold a great deal of my gear prior to my move here (but with plenty of it still taking up space in mine and my other half's parents garages) I now have a small compact setup which I get in the back of my Astra estate. It consists of Behringer Powered PA, Denon HD2500 with CD drawers and Denon X500 mixer, Sennheiser Radio Mic, 2 Martin Mania 500's, 2 Doughty Push Up Stands, 2 Martin Ego X4's, S & H Starcloth DJ Booth and a 3 x 2 NJD Starcloth - If I use the Starcloth I have a 3metre goalpost that it hangs off! I will try and post some pics up soon!

I'm desperate to buy some LED par cans before Christmas and think I have decided on Stairville 10mm Par 64's with a DMX Master Controller, I'll write more on this in a seperate forum as I'm after some help! I was planning to purchase the Acme Visio set but feel I can get the same effect without spending so much - my mind could be changed though! The most important thing to me about this purchase is how I will transport them, that's what I always think about when I buy gear, everything I have is cased and I wouldn't change that ever! I'm very interested in the Gator Par 64 case, so if anybody has one or has any more info on this then I would love to hear from you!

That's about it for now, I look forward to taking, giving and sharing advice with you all!

    Matt
