New Fire Safety laws
Has anyone got any info on the changes to fire safety laws. I had a flier through the post yesterday, which I think has been thrown as junk now. But it's also been on the news a bit. I got the impression that this is really only relevent to venue owners, but it's better to be forwarned if we can.
There was mention of increased fire assessments in the form of risk assessment. Now I wonder if that will have a knock on effect to us?

Hmmm, I haven't heard of this.
This could be a good thing though. Maybe more venues will insist on PLI.

I haven't heard anything about this either.
I've done a quick search and the closest thing I can find is that new rules (including fire safety rules) were announced earlier this month in relation to properties in multiple occupation. These are basically for landlords to comply with in places such as student rentals, etc.
Have you got any further info Ricey? I'd be interested to have a little look-see if we can track something down! :teeth: ..... or is it possible that you may have got the venue owners and multiple occupation property landlords mixed up?

I've heard about it - it's been all over the radio down here.

Elaborate then MR Solitaire. What's involved in the new regulations?, how does it affect us?

I didn't listen that hard really.... :embarasse just noticed a lot of ads talking about new EC laws regarding the fire laws and involving risk assessments for venues.
I just remember the ads being played a lot - I'll pay more attention next time :embarasse
